Uli Restaurant featured in Hospitality Interiors
Jonathan Clark Architects have just launched Uli, a new, contemporary Asian restaurant in London's Notting Hill.

Formerly a grocer's shop, the firm has created an impressive dining area, complete with a bar, private dining area and a large outdoor terrace.

The firm's brief was to create an Asian restaurant without any of the typical elements of far eastern design. Instead, the fresh, light and healthy food was the central inspiration for the interior.

"First established 16 years ago on All Saints Road, pan-Asian champion Uli (5 Ladbroke Road; +44 20 3141 5878) closed three years ago but to the delight of locals - writers, artists, food critics and actors - has just reopened on Ladbroke Road. Come here for the soft-shell crab, aromatic duck and to rubberneck when founder Michael Lim serves free nightcaps to his regulars."

"A stunning red brick extension, Muswell Hill" as featured in online magazine Homify
"The 1930s was a busy time for home building in the UK. A boom saw over four million houses being built across England and the rest of Britain, with the majority built in two distinct styles. Mock Tudor homes and red brick, cottage-style houses were being knocked up in developments all around the UK, and were much more affordable than in today’s economy...

...One such example is this typical red brick home in Muswell Hill, north London. A project of Jonathan Clark Architects, the detached house has been enlarged by a whopping 60m on the ground floor. Upstairs, the bedrooms have been reconfigured, and new bathrooms added. The result is an open plan home with a timeless red brick exterior, retaining the look and feel of the original faade, whilst modernising and adapting the interior. "

Her Majesty The Queen opens new Intake Kennel Buildings for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home
Her Majesty The Queen accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh visited Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on Tuesday 17 March 2015 to officially open the new state-of-the-art Mary Tealby Intake Centre and Kennels buildings designed by Jonathan Clark Architects

The Queen and Prince Philip met Battersea staff, volunteers, dogs and Battersea Ambassadors Paul O’Grady, Amanda Holden, David Gandy and Dame Jacqueline Wilson on this historic occasion for the Home.

The Queen, who has been a Patron of Battersea since 1956, and The Duke of Edinburgh, were given a tour of the new Kennels. They saw how the facilities will play a vital role in helping dogs during their early days at Battersea to improve and speed up their journey towards a loving, new home.

Claire Horton, Battersea's Chief Executive, says: “We are truly thrilled Her Majesty opened our new Kennels at Battersea and shared with us the most important day for the Home in decades. This is the biggest development in the Home’s history and we’re honoured to have our Royal Patron meeting some of the many animals that will benefit from these new facilities.”

The new £4.8m facilities replace Kennels closed in 2012 which dated back to Victorian times. The new development will provide a warm and safe environment for the most vulnerable lost, abandoned and unwanted dogs who arrive at BDCH's gates every year.
