“The shop is a triumph: double-height ceiling, Provencal-style stone courtyad, soothing lyetreated timber beams. But she does not take credit for it: "Oh no, it was done by Jonathan Clark," she says. "We loved the work he did in William Curley's chocolate shop (on Ebury Street), which is really smart. We wanted something modern that reflected Provence in every way." But this shop, and the fragrant products themselves, are pared-down Provencal. Not a hint of twee to be seen or sniffed.”
