We work across a broad spectrum of different project types from private residential and housing to bars, restaurants and retail, offices, education and animal welfare. We have worked all over the UK plus recent projects in Sydney, Bulgaria and Iran. Collaboration is very important to us, building a strong relationship with our client from the outset through to working with the contractor on site. Our design approach is always underpinned by a desire for simplicity and this is achieved through a rigorous attention to detail. We also enjoy working with colour whether it's for subtle accent or for a more graphic approach. We are used to working with tight budgets and will always find ways to creatively add value for our clients. Whether it is a smaller £100K project or a multi £M development, we respond to our clients' brief by pushing the boundaries of what is possible from a Town Planning perspective, controlling costs, achieving deadlines and delivering for great results. The office is an RIBA Chartered Practice and is ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems certified.

The general situation for dogs in Iran right now is absolutely dire - as well as being abandoned and neglected, dogs are being abused, tortured, mutilated, and slaughtered. Sezar Sanctuary is run by Hosein Mohammadi, an extraordinary man with “healing hands” for dogs. He nurses dogs back to physical and emotional health after they have been tortured and abused.
Sezar Sanctuary has very limited facilities for treating injured dogs however and requires a proper veterinary hospital in order to maintain standards and to increase the number of dogs that can be taken in. We took a brief and designed the new building with retail and grooming facilities, veterinary consultation rooms and over 30 kennels.
"Jonathan and the team at Veterinary Architects quickly grasped the goals and challenges facing my project to establish the leading dog hospital in Iran outside Tehran itself. Despite the difficulties of collaborating across international borders, they quickly produced a design which exceeded my expectations - I am delighted with the overall result, thank you!"
Hosein Mohammadi, Founder of Sezar Sanctuary.
Works have now started on site.

Design work has started on an ambitious project for Rila's Dream Sanctuary in Dolna Mitropolita in Bulgaria for a new state of the art veterinary hospital with a dog sanctuary comprising of kennelling for dogs to be re-homed and for boarding along with staff quarters and various ancilliary areas.
The site is set into a naturally sloped site in the open countryside overlooking a valley of farmed land.
When viewed from the valley below, the site will be largely invisible due to the buildings being semi-submerged into the contours of the existing landscape with grass roof areas opening out into the centre to allow daylight into the kennel runs and provide further exercise paddocks. The idea being that the new proposals should not detract from the natural beauty of the existing site when viewed from the valley below.
The shell & core works for four railway arches at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home London site have now been completed and fit out works have commenced for a new cafe, main reception and a canine hydrotherapy centre with a further three arches to be converted to a dog agility arena and various ancillary spaces. Completion is expected in July 2020.
